This version of a traditional English ‘Chesterfield’ was made famous on The Beatles’ two appearances on the Ed Sullivan show in 1964. The Ed Sullivan jacket is in black wool with upper half ‘winged’ lapels in black ‘velvet’ (the upper half being larger than the bottom half). The jacket is single-breasted, made from pure wool and fully lined with 2 inside breast pockets. It has 4 buttons at the front and a single vent at the back.
