1963

In 1963 the Beatles released two studio albums: their debut “Please Please Me” (March 22): followed by “With The Beatles” (November 22). As for their fashion choices, the collarless jackets, in particular, became a signature look for the band, as well as the brown ‘Chesterfield’ suits that they wore on the cover of ‘Please Please Me’. This brown suit was distinctive because as well as velvet upper lapels, it also had velvet cuffs. They wore this suit with pink ‘gingham’ checked shirts and skinny black ties.
