On-stage the band all wore the same suits. There’s the 1963 ‘Collarless’, and the NEW! ‘Please Please Me’ brown Chesterfield. Then in ’64, the standard ‘Chesterfield’, the winged lapel ‘Ed Sullivan’, the all velvet lapel ‘Hollywood Bowl’ and the distinctive ‘A Hard Day’s Night’). In ’65 they wore the military style ‘Shea Stadium’ jackets and in ’66 for their final shows, the ‘dandy’ inspired ‘Budokan’ green velvet-lapelled black suits of ’66.
